About Us

Our mission

Alternate Consulting’s mission is to help companies and their managers achieve corporate sustainability. Corporate sustainability is the only way that combines long term business success, manages business risks, and maximizes the positive impact of the company on its stakeholders and society as a whole.

We aim to build the knowledge, capacity, skills, and commitment necessary within organizations to enable them to develop further even without us. This philosophy originates from the centuries-old adage “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime”. We strive for our clients to gain the ability to work rather than simply continue from a one-off handout.

About

Founders’ Story

After crossing paths many times in the workplace (at the KÖVET Association for Sustainable Economies and Braun & Partners Network), Mandy and Katalin realized they both share a passion for helping companies achieve corporate sustainability. Together, they co-founded Alternate Consulting in November of 2008. Alternate is built upon their combined expertise in ESG and CSR.

Both Katalin and Mandy have worked in several different stakeholder roles. They are able to incorporate all stakeholder views effectively in their consultancy work having sat on all sides of the table (NGO, media, education, research, industry, consultancy, and consumer).
